(Morristown, NJ, March 14, 2011) — Points Sports Health (PSH), a branch of Points Medical*, announced today that it has launched the next revision of its website (http://pointssports.com/), an online resource for comprehensive and cutting-edge sports health information, educational material and medical referrals.

A unique clearinghouse for all aspects of consumer sports health—with a changing menu of videos, articles, blogs and other news—PSH also is a vehicle that brings patients and doctors together through a free referral service for premier sports health providers. The Practitioner Directory currently focuses on the New Jersey area. Shortly, PSH will launch additional localized websites. The next two locations will be San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas.

PSH draws from a wide variety of expert contributors. These include sports medicine doctors and other medical experts, a bestselling sports health author, a prominent sports nutritionist and a sports psychologist. The website is managed by a group of sports health and medical services professionals. In addition, the PSH Advisory Board includes nationally recognized medical experts in a variety of specialties.

According to Points Sports Health and Points Medical CEO Thomas Hofstetter, “Our goal with Points Sports Health is to engage the sports, exercise, fitness community and anybody who wants to maintain an active lifestyle, and offer this community a unique set of services. We are excited to partner with so many wonderful physicians and other experts, and to become an integral part of the sports health community.”

The company, headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey, has created key partnerships with various local and national organizations. Jersey Club Sports, a provider of adult co-ed sports leagues, which numbers 5,000 participants, is a current partner of PSH. According to CEO Deb Nexon, “This partnership is a great service to our members, who can now have easy access to the best sports health information, and medical care, in the area.”

Other partners include Sky Blue FC (Women’s Professional Soccer League), NJ Girls High School Soccer Coaches Association, and The Alternative Press.
